Nautical Charts - OsmAnd is a free extension for the OsmAnd Maps & Navigation app that offers detailed nautical charts for offline use. This plugin is perfect for recreational sailors who need a reliable tool for orientation or route planning. With this sea map, you can access a graphical representation of oceans, seas, coastal areas, and rivers with various information such as sailing routes, navigation lights, dangerous areas, areas where it's allowed or not allowed to sail or dock, etc.
The nautical charts are based on the data from the OpenSeaMap project and are continually updated by the users who contribute to the map. These charts are supplemented with the information about the depth contours and nautical depth points that add valuable layers of data to the map. While OpenSeaMap charts cannot compete with official nautical charts, they are always up-to-date and can be used as an offline reference tool alongside other navigational programs.
It is highly recommended that you download the nautical basemap to ensure that you can see the maps regardless of detailed map presence. Nautical charts are provided as a map and a special style. To switch the style in OsmAnd, please use the menu item 'Configure Map' on the map screen.
